I am a massive cat fanatic so find it difficult to trust that I am posting in a story about my rottweiler but here it goes.
My husband Stephen and I have been going out for 29 years now and have owned dogs in all shapes and sizes. We have always wanted a rottweiler dog, but when the children came along, we could never seem to scrape enough money together to buy one.
I was given a Worker's Comp settlement a year ago this past December and decided to buy a rotweiler.
We called one of our rottweilers Sandy and often took him outside on short road jaunts so he would familiarize myself with his ambiance before we took him on the longer hauls.
Over time nevertheless it became more and more difficult for Sandy to spend so much time in the car and when Stephen had to visit clients he would return to find Sandy jawing a seat, he was just bored.
Every Friday evening when Stephen returns home, one of our rottweiler puppies Sandy is so delirious to see him that he can barely get in the door. I am sure your dog goes bananas when he looks you if you have been departed for a bit.
One thing that we never trained her to do, but she picked up on her own is, when Stephen goes in the sitting room to sit down and relax, one of us will say, "Sandy, give Stephen big kisses," and she'll jump up on the top of the lounge, run over to him, then jump down on his chest to clout his face..
Sandy goes bananas when visitors come over as it gives her a great opportunity to show people her repertory of tricks. Her party trick is to veil behind the sofa then chute out when they are least expecting it. When I have a bit more time I will certainly send you in some unique stories about Sandy.
